There's days I drink a 1.5 gallons a day from the time I wake up till the time I go to bed. Water poising is no joke but 13 pounds in a 12 hr period won't kill you but will make you pee a lot. Drinking that much in a much shorter period will kill you. I'm on another forum and a member died from drinking too much water during a canoe race.
Water poisoning is actually a thing? I just thought it would make organs rupture before poisoning you.

Assistant Sacramento County Coroner Ed Smith said a preliminary investigation found evidence "consistent with a water intoxication death." Also known as hyponatremia, water intoxication occurs when the body's sodium level falls below normal. Overdrinking dilutes the sodium in the bloodstream, causing the brain to swell and push against the skull. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, weakness and, in severe cases, seizures, coma and death.

Hyponatremia is no laughing matter.

Hyponatremia is most definitely a thing and yes it can kill you.
There was a high school football player here who died from it last year.

Well this just proves I am a modern marvel of science. I should have been dead years ago based on that
