the wind screen did its job

it's just not used to catching 65, 80, 100 mph winds

so those are wind screens that are designed to keep wind off court?
thought it was a privacy thing. Their should be break away clips for certain wind speeds so it doesn't take fence down.

yep... it's wind screens to lessen the affects of the wind on the court

ours at the school I work at were zip tied down and they popped before there was any damage to our fencing or screens

All this time I thought they were to keep balls from going through the fence.

But I never played tennis, nor cared enough to ask.

That just knocked tennis down a notch for me.

Wow some serious damage across the state. I woke up to electricity being out and sound of a drip coming from our bathroom. Went in there and there was a leak coming from the middle of our ceiling dripping onto the floor. Mustve been the most torrential rain we've had since moving into the house because that was a first for us.

Looks like LCH confirmed the Alexandria/Pineville/Ball/Jena tornado... but haven't assigned it a rating yet

I'd love to see what they rate it

ETA: nevermind... I believe I now see it... EF2

quote:

AN EF-2 TORNADO WITH MAXIMUM ESTIMATED WINDS NEAR 134 MPH AND A PATH WIDTH OF 200 YARDS CONTINUED ON THE GROUND FROM NORTHERN RAPIDES PARISH INTO SOUTHEAS

the rest of that's supposed to say Southeastern Grant Parish

The EF2 tornardo started in Rapides... went through Grant and into LaSalle Parish

I think that qualifies as "long track", no?

ETA: It crossed over from the LCH coverage are into the SHV coverage area

LA SALLE LA 3155 9230 THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF THE GRANT PARISH TORNADO. THIS EF-2 TORNADO ... WITH MAXIMUM ESTIMATED WINDS NEAR 134 MPH AND A PATH WIDTH OF 200 YARDS ... CONTINUED NORTHEAST
