Confirmed Funnel on the ground for short period of time near Las Colinas. Good thing I wasnt working today

I took this earlier from near DFW Airport and Coppell. I saw this rotating cloud, so pulled into a parking lot and watched it. It never gained enough momentum to become cyclonic, but it was close.

Severe weather expected late tonight in Austin as well. I can’t recall a late spring/summer when we’ve had so much severe weather here. It’s been pretty much a weekly occurrence.

It's been pretty springtime like in northern Texas and Oklahoma lately. OKC still hasn't broke 90 this year. I'd suspect the snowpack still covering the southern Rockies is helping advecting in some colder than normal air aloft too.
