Getting absolutely pounded in the CBD

clearly the statues caused it

but seriously... for the NWS to be completely caught by surprise... as in not have even a watch issued... let alone a warning... I'm sure they'll be studying this event

No watch being issued falls on the Storm Prediction Center. However, given the marginal dynamic support for tornadoes today, I wouldn't have expected a tornado watch. Usually they get the warning out before, but clearly this one must have spun up quickly between radar scans.

Did anyone get a warning before the Baton Rouge tornado?

No. An area around Prairieville was warned about the same time this one popped up but this tornado was a good bit north of the warned area.

Where was the BR tornado? I have my aunt blowing me up asking if me and my house are ok. I didn't even know there was a tornado

Don't worry about him, he's been a little on edge since O was hired. He thinks O will lead LSU to multiple championships... Either way, if you ever have any H2O problems, I work for ST, so get in touch with me through him..

Looks like it hit Ceadercrest/Old Hammond/Sharp area near Reeves Grocery store, then moved East-Northeast briefly before weakening.

I'm surprised there was no warning. Lots of videos of it floating around.

Exactly. I'm surprised there wasn't a more ample and accurate warnings.
