What kind of on the ground support are you seeing so far? Are the relief organizations/groups starting to filter into the area?
I know from our church yesterday a group was there, along with Kentucky Baptist Diaster relief or whatever the org is called.

I just ran across this on Twitter. It would be useful for some of you folks here who run businesses and such. There's also a home option for $9.95 a year. It is another option other than a weather radio, and even includes lightning detection.
Weather Call
Anything like this can be useful in a time where people are getting away from live TV services.

Wild that, assuming there's no EF5 from this horrific night/morning, we're on an 8.5 year EF5 drought.
It’s gonna be just like the major hurricane drought, they’ll soon be writing articles about why climate change is causing us to have fewer large tornadoes then the second we have another they’ll pump out articles about how climate change causes it too

Idk how they even found the road to clear it

Off all the serious research done, there isnt a climate change connection with the frequency and intensity of tornados. IPCC report states as much.
But climate change is still happening and carbon emissions are the primary driver. That doesnt make every weather event climate change related.

frick. I'm in Sumner County (TN) and had some minor damage but nothing compared to many others and certainly no loss of life.
I grew up my whole life down south/on the coast and as bad as hurricanes can be, at least you know they're coming. I knew to expect bad weather but wasn't sure how bad. 3:30am my phone starts blaring and I admittedly froze.. didn't really know what to do. Just kind of mulled around the foyer and the noise outside was the scariest part.
FWIW - I had my phone on silent and DND and it still blared the tornado warning. Was a Godsend.

I cannot imagine how scary it would be to have a tornado that big coming at you.
When I was a child, I stayed with a friend from summer camp at her grandparents' farm house in Louisiana. It was a small frame house. A small tornado it at night and took most of the roof off the house. We ran to a closet - in the only area that did not lose the roof.
The small storm was scary enough for me.

My statement isn’t even a judgement one way or the other on climate change, I’m far from qualified for that, would just like the people who regularly opine on it to show some consistency and many rarely do

Most mets would agree that weather doesn’t equal climate.

He's using the complete lifecycle centered loop I talked about yesterday.
