My Dad just called me and said that in a span of just over a mile, that there are hundreds of trees down or snapped halfway, in the Marion-Sims/Caples Rd area. And snapped power poles. Road became impassible beyond that.

The one right by my house in TX is dismantled... but the one a half mile up isn't - So I always open the window facing that way in bad weather. I've had one pass over so close I've felt my ears pop. Hit a couple blocks up.

Come to think of it... That tornado may have been what broke the siren. Hmmmm... Smart thinkin', tornado.

Glad u and the pup are ok red. Im in marksville...had a nasty cell move through here about 2:00...knocked down two trees in my yard and several power lines in my neighborhood doesn't look like anyone got hurt though. Stay safe y'all

Entergy is projecting that power will be back on ny 5. Looking at the sheer volume of people without power and the fact that a ton of lines are down in the Garden District is down, I'm projecting 5 pm tomorrow on this shite.

Of course, I'm the idiot that didn't stop to get gas on the way to work this morning, so my light came on as I pulled in. I'm stuck at my powerless apartment until with the Kangaroo or Tigermart gets power back.
