You do the real stuff rather than Delta 9 gummies? I like they way Delta 9 makes me feel, hopefully can try the real stuff soon.

I know a few that have the real stuff and actually prefer D9, or at least like it as a good alternative, because it’s much lighter.

8 months, 8 day for me.

Hell yeah! Congrats! I recommend anyone struggling with alcohol download the 24 hours app. Here’s an example of a daily meditation

AA Thought for the Day
The new life of sobriety we are learning to live in AA is slowly growing on us, and we are beginning to get some of that deep peace of mind and serenity that we never thought were possible. At first we may have doubted that this could happen to us, but after any considerable length of time in AA, looking at the happy faces around us, we know that somehow it is happening to us. In fact, it cannot help happening to anyone who takes the AA program seriously day by day. Can I see my own happiness reflected in the faces of others?
Meditation for the Day
God does not withhold His presence from you. He does not refuse to reveal more of His truth to you. He does not hold back His spirit from you. He does not withhold the strength that you need. His presence, His truth, His spirit, His strength are always immediately available to you, whenever you are fully willing to receive them. But they may be blocked off by selfishness, intellectual pride, fear, greed, and materialism. We must try to get rid of these blocks and let God’s spirit come in.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may remove all blocks that are keeping me from God. I pray that I may let God come into my life with power.

Quoted from the app 24 Hours a Day.

Everything AA is a wonderful app too. It's got literally everything you could ever need and it's free.

July the 10 2016 I had my last drink. Actually it was in the parking lot outside of AA Clubhouse (The Gratitude House)

Not sure if you’re an alcoholic, sounds like it could be an issue… so, spoiler alert, if you are, stopping is not only the best option, it’s the only option.

You will lose a lot more than just a day of productivity.

Nobody likes a quitter! Think of the example your setting for your kids.

Just not worth it. Lost a whole damn day because I wanted some bourbon.

So you have one bad day and you just quit?

well can't wait for your, "i'm sober, and it's the best thing ever" threads

If that's what keeps a person sober is brags like that, so be it. If they need small brags to keep their life from derailing, that's completely fine to me.

Hey sometimes a "great job" on succeeding TODAY at the hardest thing you've ever had to accomplish is nice. Everyone likes a acknowledgement of good work.

For me, it's about more though. It's accountability. I need people to know I made this choice as it's an added layer of protection from the first drink for me. I don't go around announcing it to the world, but I made sure everyone close to me was aware.

And I have no shame admitting I have a problem here when there are threads. Hearing people say they never in a million years thought they could do it helped me in the beginning, because I'd been trying for a million years with no success.

But the nice thing is you can flip that too. Do you know how humbling it is to sit and listen to someone struggling that has lost hope and is trying to get sober. It's a reminder that you have to make a choice to be sober every single day or you'll end up right back there. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but you will and you know it.

Maybe the people who think it's too much bragging, can just go back call everyone who quits a loser or something so they feel cool too.

Congrats man. Keep with it. And f*ck the posters here with their overused quitter snarky remarks. Still seeing them on page 7 of the thread. Addiction ain't nothing to play with it yet so many guys here like to make light of these types of posts. F*ck you guys that do that

I mean it’s cool that you want to quit drinking but just because you got lazy seems. Like an odd reason.

I was actually interested until this. This makes you sound like a mental midget. Not saying you are, but this comes across as that.

Grow up and accept the results of your previous actions. Period. If you want to quit, quit. “Feelings” have nothing to do with it. Or don’t quit. Be a grown up make a decision and move on.

Rant over.

Yeah I think he was talking about how hangovers cause mood shifts not really previous action melancholy.

I didn’t quit drinking but this feeling exactly is what got me to cut back on drinking severely.

I was walking my dog one morning and it was like 65 and sunny and everyone is outside working out or walking. I was holding my dogs leash in pajamas and dreading being outside because I had a hangover. Got back in and decided at that point I had to quit or cut back a lot.
