Anti-capitalists are the worst.
Thank you, Sir for investing in your community and make no apologies for seeking to make a profit.
Your unforgivable sin is being seen as anti -Trump.

Their reggae nights were a good time! Local rapper Frankie Snow also had a good show there one night.

The guy put out a message telling a certain group of people to frick off. Those people obliged then he went out of business.
That's about as capitalistic as you can get

He was anti MAGA.
This is not an acceptable opinion in those environs.

He got on social media and told people that voted for Trump to apologize for everything they do.
The owner was also reported to the dept of labor because he was taking tips from the bartenders for doing nothing, which is illegal.
But yea it was because he was anti maga

This is what I didn’t understand either.
MuH SHiPPiNG CoSt AnD LaBoR CoSt, like get the hell out of here, other local bars have the exact same beer ontap for $5-6 and cheap ones for $2-3. “But we have $3 PBR,” I don’t go to a beer garden to drink beer out of a can, something I can easily do in my garage jamming Creed.

So, Jonesy, the Dept of Labor put him out business?

No. The people he tried to lecture stopped buying his beer so he went out of business.
I added that in there to paint a picture of who you're defending in here

Telling people who voted for Trump to frick off put him out of business.
As did letting his rapey friend frequent the business(allegedly per r/Acadiana)
As did robbing his employees and being a dickhead to work for.
As did slowly letting the place get pretty damn dumpy.
The dude sucks, that place thrived when it first opened and would still be doing so if not run into the ground by a moron.

He went out of business because people simply voted with their money out of their own free will.
Your side demands local governments deny Chick Fil A permits, not even allowing people to vote with their money.
Frick off.

I hope someone more savvy and less preachy than him sees the concept can work there. I thought it was a great addition to downtown.

This.
I’m well aware the vast majority of craft beer brewery owners and beer garden owners likely sit the opposite of the political spectrum from me. And I honestly don’t mind them just simply voicing an opinion opposite of mine on social media, because it’s their opinion.
But when they do the shite this guy did and what the owner of Courtyard Brewery did, that’s when they can be assured I will never spend a dime on their business again.

It's not going to be downtown (but close to ULL) but the guy who owns the Wrong Iron in Nola is opening one soon.

I’ve always thought Parish would do well to put something downtown and add cocktails.
