Chad Huth was the guy who was murdered.
Although there were reports that four or more broke in, only two were arrested. One, Joshua Lee, was convicted of 2nd Degree Murder, which is a mandatory life sentence. The other, Christopher Lee, had a hung jury and a mistrial was declared.
It was supposed to go back to trial a few months later, but I don't think it ever did. I don't know what happened that caused the DA's Office to back off of prosecuting again. Corkfather was in town to testify (he was doing oilfield work and had come in from SD, I think) and posted about it after the trial.
Edit: Per tLSU, C. Lee is scheduled to go back to trial in April.

Also, that thread about the missing guy from Gonzales who just got home from working up in Montana or North Dakota. That was crazy. A few posters claimed to have seen him last and have a few of his bags, then his family ended up on here asking who the hell was posting. Shite got crazy. I believe the kid was found OD-ed sadly in the Lowes parking lot. RIP.
The few deaths that occurred on campus had some really crazy threads too. The kid that hung himself in Herget comes to mind. Lot of behind the scenes info came out. Sad story there.
