I have never been, is it faux pas to bring your own clubs?
I am in Dallas and this seems fairly awesome between drinking/watching games/golf. Any one have experiences worth sharing?

Many people bring their own clubs. It's not a big deal
I consider it somewhat of a practice session, so why not use my own sticks

I feel like I'm missing out on something because I always hear people say they want a Top Golf in their area but I still have no idea what it is other than that it involves golf and is possibly tops.

Top Golf would kill it in Baton Rouge.

Lots of people bring their own clubs. And yes it is worth it for a few hours.
Btw, Saturday morning bloody mary buffet.
Eta: At least the one in Austin does.

You hit balls with sensors in them at different targets and your score is kept on a screen similar to bowling

Live down the street from the one here in Alpharetta, GA.. It can get expensive but the food and the drink selection are top notch. Bring some money.. it's awesome, you'll enjoy it.

Too small of a town. New Orleans is too small too. Maybe they'll move to this size market in 4-5 years, but no time soon.

So you play interactive games, but with hitting golf balls? Are the games more technologically advanced and immersive than something found at Dave and Busters?
How much does this cost, and will they get mad if you show up having never played golf before?

IMO Top Golf is a notch above bowling. Both are good excuses to drink. I've been to Top Golf about twice this year. That's about how many times I've been bowling and it's never my idea to go. You can't replace being out on the course on a nice day.

Bring your clubs. Just be aware (at least in Houston) the range only goes to like 240, so it's hard to go full nitro baw.

I think it normally costs 40 per hour per bay, but that can be split by your group
Those are peak time costs though.

Hell no. Lots of people go who have never played. My mom loves to go.
