Brian Pillman vs. Smart Marks

The JBL looking for Mexicans on the border segments were golden. I think it didn’t last long enough and most people have a soft spot for Mid South/World Class/Mid Atlantic old school feuds or the Monday night wars feuds, over the “ruthless aggression” era.

Pillman brings to mind the “booker man”, which brings to mind the Kevin Sullivan vs Benoit feud.

Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels definitely have to be on the list. Those guys genuinely hated each other. I believe they are actually friends today

How has no one mentioned Tommy “Wildfire” Rich v Buzz “Mad Dog” Sawyer? Those dudes used to go at it!

Wow. It took 5 pages to get to Hogan vs The Iron Shiek. Hard to top Flair vs Steamboat. Harley Race vs Dusty is up there. From the overseas/Indy circuit—-Abdulla the Butcher vs Bruiser Brody. One thing for sure, nothing recently qualifies. Especially anything AEW or NXT related

While it’s definitely not an all timer, the Benoit Sullivan feud is often overlooked but was pretty influential in terms of leveraging what was going on behind the scenes in order to get some of the much sought after “That shite might have been actually real man” heat.

I know I'm late to the party, but I'm going to give you a downvote for this. Also, everyone knows the top all time feud was Raw vs Nitro.

John Smith v. Dan Gable - in terms of a feud between coaches
On the mat, while there was no hostility, Kyle Dake v. David Taylor was awesome.

The very beginning of the NWO was amazing. It instantly made everyone in WCW faces. And Fall Brawl 1996 was amazing. Sting, Luger, Flair and Arn may have been the best 4-man team in War Games history. But yeah, the booking for WCW ruined what was probably the best angle in wrestling history.
Sting vs Hogan at Starrcade 97 absolutely 100% needed a clean finish for a build that lasted over a year - instead we got the gimmick ref finish with Bret Hart coming in to save the day for WCW.
Shittiest finish in the history of pro wrestling.

Gargano v Ciampi is the only thing close on either brand and they would need to go up to the main roster have a year + long program that culminates in a penultimate Wrestelemania blow off for it to get there.
Do they have the talent to do it? Absolutely...Does WWE have the creative to pull it off today? Doubtful unless Heyman runs the program.

Without a doubt...effectively ended Sting's career in WCW...what was meaningful of it anyway.
If Nick Patrick would have fast counted the Hogan pin then Hart would have committed to the Montreal Screwjob angle (which he no sold I'm assuming because he didn't want to essentially copy that angle) it would have been only marginally better....which is to say still one of the shittiest finishes to a huge angle in the history of the business.
Instead what we got was an apparent Hogan clean pin on Sting....a emo whiny Hart restarting the match....and Sting talking himself into a win where Hogan didn't even tap.
Then after waiting 18 months for a match between Hogan and Sting....you get Hogan v Sting 2 the very next night on Nitro...to shite on Starrcade even more. And the you didn't even get to see the finish becasue "FANS WE’RE OUTTA TIME, WE’RE OUTTA TIME, WE GOTTA GO!"....so you had to wait for the premiere episode of Thunder to see the shitshow that happened after time expired.
"Sting hit that second Stinger Splash and locked in the Deathlock, but the ref was down. That brought out Nick Patrick, who called for the break on the submission for some reason. This distracts Sting long enough for Hogan to donkey punch him in the back of the head and knock him out again, and then Hogan pins Sting again. He has a handful of tights, but Patrick once again counts like normal.
Patrick calls for the bell and gives the championship belt to Hogan, so Sting just attacks them both and the match continues. Hogan starts acting scared and calling for nWo help for some reason, as though he has not proven he can completely dominate and pin this dude, and Sting wins again. So … the same finish as Starrcade, minus Bret Hart, with a little more punching of Nick Patrick. Oh, and after the match, Eric Bischoff attacks James J. Dillon and Sting drops Bischoff, triggering a big WCW vs. nWo brawl."....AKA standard overbooked Nitro finish
It was the worst thing ever in Pro Wrestling in my mind.
