Doctors of medicine aren't really any smarter than a master brewer.
Medical school is about handling a high volume of information. The information itself isn't particularly complex relative to what one would find in a doctoral STEM program.

Your assumption that the low completion rate of doctorate STEM degrees indicates a higher difficulty is ludicrous.
That’s not what I’m implying. My point is really based on the standards for completion. The education style is apples and oranges. Arguing personality differences of applicants isn’t a real measure of the academic rigor.
PhDs Students can’t hack it under pressure? Since when are 3rd and 4th year medical students routinely misled and used by their mentors at the expense of their ability or timeline to finish? When are medical students subjected to general exams that asses their ability to perform self-guided learning from the literature beyond what is required in their courses?
Exams for medical students involve clearly defined standards based on the texts. They are also judged on the ability to apply that knowledge in practice. PhD students are also required to apply their knowledge as well. The difference is that the vast majority of your specialized knowledge is formed by independent review of the literature.
These two vastly different training styles perhaps explain the personality traits so often associated with each profession.

Doctor of Pharmacy: PharmDs are legit chemists and medical practitioners. No, not the pharmacists behind the counter at Walmart but the ones in hospitals
Just lol. The ones behind the counter at walmart have the same education as the ones in hospitals. The difference is we didn’t want to be a bitch for a year or two and make 40k while working 70-80 hours a week.
I’ve worked with multiple retail pharmacists that switch to hospital after a year or two.
I interviewed at two different hospitals straight out of school and turned them both down once I realized the pay was worse and the benefits weren’t as good

5. Doctor of Social Work: social workers are some of the hardest working and least appreciated people on this planet. Nonetheless, getting a doctorate in social work isn't academically rigorous. What is the purpose of the doctorate beyond that of the master's?
I love my niece dearly, but she is completing her masters in social work. She's not the brightest bulb.

Medical Doctor you have to make really good grades in College, stroke the MCAT. Then Med School you have to be in the top of your class to pick your residency then bust your arse for 3-8 years. If you frick up along the way you get a job with your biology degree

There are 80 different hops. There are multiple types of yeast. There are many different things that can also be used to flavor beer. Brewers have to know what the customers want. Taste buds are ever changing as are customer demands. There is also the issue of sourcing hops and barley and everything else.
Medical doctors do 1 thing and that is practice medicine. That is all they have to do. They don't have to worry about keeping up with customer demands and most of the time they don't have to worry about competition.
Doctors are so full of themselves. it is ridiculous. That is why no one wants to lend to them when they have some "grand" idea for a stupid business.

Master Sommelier is also more difficult education than being a doctor. More hazardous too considering the amount of wine you have to consume. Very difficult on your liver

6. Doctor of Education: this is a real grab bag. I've met some brilliant Ed.D. holders and some that I didn't think would pass BARB 120 - Shaving, Mustaches, and Beards at Delgado.

Master sommelier is one of the most exclusive and difficult positions in the world. It is like being being a one armed brain surgeon that has to work blind.
