This is a difficult task you can complete. It is possible to do in a reasonable amount of time. I want to help you, and hope you will not get trapped indefinitely in Suboxone survival. The area I work in (NOLA/Metairie) has a very serious opioid problem. I often see people being stomped through the cracks, taken advantage of, or just allowed to persist in self-diagnosed failure. It doesn’t have to be this way. You will gain education and make plan of escape. Email me - wellkellsbellsTD@gmail.com if any questions for a pharmacist who doesn’t want your business.
Prescribers, pharmacists, and patients need more education on this. People need to know that doctors and pharmacists in Louisiana can see your individual controlled substance fill history for the past 5 years to date. If a good provider sees a history of opiate detox, that’s a permaban- not even 7 tramadol for any reasonable reason. Because we know it wouldn’t touch the pain anyway.
For the record...prescribers and pharmacists who provide large numbers of people with 120, 150, 240 count opioid rxs every month for years upon years are the scum of the fricking earth. In my area these people are grossly irresponsible and ultimately responsible.
On the other side, there is revenue being made from vulnerable addicts. I see this every day, people who are either trying or being forced to recover referred en masse to irresponsible or overwhelmed clinicians because they are legally “qualified to provide” a detox service. My local experience is that these clinics will just maintain your opiate requirement with suboxone indefinitely as long as you pay for appointments and piss clean. Well...My patients who are positive for THC are given 14 day supplies, so the pay two monthly fees and for their drug test.
Oh and many of the NOLA/Metairie addiction “clinics” don’t accept Medicaid. Cash only.

Take salt and potassium to avoid the cramps, Hot baths and Asian massagie.
Understand that you are going to have dysphoria for most of the next year. But it will eventually pass. Did you pack a hoodie?
I’m 6 years clean and sober so it can be done. And you should also stop drinking alcohol because it will always lead you back.

Are you telling me that people are given an addictive, habit forming substance, to help break the habit of smoking weed?

I’m a spiritual man so I’m praying for you. If you’re not spiritual know that like so many on here I am pulling hard for you.
A man fighting for peace and something healthy that his family wants for him is easy to pull for.
You got this.

'll ask again. Do you live in a place where medical marijuana is legal? Even if not, you were buying pills anyway. In all honesty, it would probably greatly help you through these next few days, and it's not like your other options, which are also habit forming,
Marijuana doesn't do shite for detoxing, if anything it makes the anxiety and brain zaps worse. Replacing something that changes the way you feel with another substance that changes the way you feel isn't good advice FWIW
