No city should have homeless people, why again does our society tolerate this?

Does nola cater to homeless? Because there are a shitload of them there.
plenty of overpasses and tons of restaurants tossing old food out...sometimes it looks like a family reunion of hobos.

I have several friends there and they are as happy as littleneck clams. That article is hyperbolic and all part of the campaign buildup for the mayoral election.

How do you fix it? We build a shiny new complex and some people have already been kicked out for unacceptable behavior. Some people just can't live amongst others and can't take care of a home

Don't make a rash decision what I mean. It's a decades old urban center issue. I abhor blight, laziness and excuses just like you. But I can't do anything to change it due to the migration of money that comes with the migration of "people". I do wish something could be done for inner-city poverty for those who deserve it. We all do I think. It's an eyeball test some poor pass and others never could. We know them when we see them.

Portland's homeless population was terrible when I was there in 2016

I'm sure you can live in little bubbles and not associate with the riff raff if you've got enough money.

Was there last weekend and it's the worst I've ever seen it. Fine with me though. If Portland wasn't in-between here and San Francisco, we'd probably have a lot more up here.

It's crazy, everywhere. So is the associated street crime. A lot of the younger homeless couch surf and aren't on the street that often but are responsible for most of the crime. They're virtually impossible to find.

It's that way all over the West Coast
