Ok,just had to make sure you really were this fricking stupid.

You cannot see the difference between Sinning and Living in sin.

This is pretty bad if you cannot.

Of course it does. They all have the power and influence to make their voice heard.

Its up to them to use that power responsibly

Ok for starters, everyone lives in sin. Just because we don't commit the same sin everyday (though some of us do) we still all sin everyday. Every human does. Why are we singling out gay sex as the one that crosses the line?

And you still haven't answered why we should make everyone subject to the church's teaching.

The difference is generally that "sinning" is something that I do that I can justify to myself, while "living in sin" is something those other people do that I want to feel self righteous over.

Of course.

Just b/c your views may agree with mine, I still don't won't to hear them.

This country is full of sheep though, so when they see Queen Latifah marrying someone on a music awards show, they applaud the progress of their side.

They also probably think she is a real queen and Mr. Pibb is the best soft drink ever.

Congrats, you made my point.

They have "power and influence" because they can carry a tune or were born with high cheekbones?

I guess Dennis Rodman is one hell of a foreign ambassador b/c he rebounds well.

Obviously Dennis Rodman is someone that used it poorly.

That doesn't mean we should discount all celebrities ability to have a good influence

But why should we confer special privilege (value opinion) on them because they can sing and dance? Isn't that very similar to the royals in England?

Hell, they already get the best parking spots.

I realize this wasn't where this thread was necessarily going, but I know you see my point.

Celebrities shouldn't be celebrated. It's a liberal agenda, they are no better than other citizens.

OMGZ, did you see Clint Eastwood at the RNC, he's a real American hero!!

Are you saying that people haven't been excommunicated because of their refusal to repent and get an annulment? Keep your head in the sand.

It's publicity in general. They are famous because everyone knows their name/face, movies happen to be the reason.

Human nature is to be liked as well as be famous/powerful. For whatever reason being famous is related to being powerful.

Oh look, a bunch of largely uneducated, substance-abusing, millionaire Californians trying to show middle America how backwards and intolerant we are.

Sounds like they have a lot in common with middle America, just not self righteous about it.
