I'm with you on this.
Seems like extremely poor parenting. Animals are animals... they are going to act off instinct.
Don't have a problem with killing the pig... but no need to tie it up to a tree like that.

It's very unnecessary but I think it's more about the parents lashing out than trying to be logical. Besides pigs are like lions, once they've had human flesh they can never stop
