It's been several years since I've been there but I never got the thug vibe that others are saying

I went once a few weeks ago. My wife wanted to go b/c the Dillards was closing and she wanted to go get something from there, i don't konw i wasn't paying attention, but anyway, i wasn't letting her go there on a Friday after work by herself.
All I saw was a bunch of hair, nail and beauty places that all were full of people, and then your cheap jewelers and wireless people hanging out in the middle.

It's not a mall. It's a bunch of those small shopping centers in the ghetto that have your beauty supplies, haircut place, paycheck loan place, boost mobile in it, except its a bunch of those and they are all indoors.

It's amazing to me that Cortana is still open. Surely not much longer

This reminded me of the Chris Rock bit where he talks about every city having two malls: The one the white people go to and the one the white people used to go to. The latter, according to Rock, has nothing but stores for "sneakers and baby clothes"
