You need to get out of the westbank now

Sell for whatever. Rent somewhere.

Because sometimes people move into a country club and at some point, can’t play anymore.

Why pay the membership dues if you don’t play anymore?

Lots of Muslims in the hood. But they keep their property up. Generally good neighbors. Talked to one up the street and he was all in on the deal.

I would suggest you move quickly if it does pass. No doubt they underestimate what it takes to run the place and the thing will go to shite unless someone with actual money steps in

This. Most HOA’s aren’t even very good at normal everyday HOA shite like enforcing neighborhood rules. Definitely wouldnt trust an HOA with renovating a country club and running a golf course. They’re gonna be in over their heads

i still have no idea why you want your neighbors to foot the bill for your property value, when you previously had no concern about keeping the golf club solvent.

Golf courses are dying all over America. This is nothing unique. But as long as i have property on a golf course, I'm willing to do whatever I can to keep it a golf course.

The whole area around Wall Blvd is becoming little Mecca, not just Stonebridge. Baywood and the Commons too

That is not the answer for the vast majority of people living directly on a course.

Plus, if I genuinely cared about the place and the Club I would still be involved in someway financially. Why else live there then complain when it goes under. It may be something as small as shopping at the pro shop and sending rounds to family members.

You obviously don't remember the time between real owners when the members took control.

The club has been struggling since Katrina. I don't play golf much the last few years. It's semi-private and gets a lot of tournament action.

The new arrangement will mean that all residents are members for the clubhouse and pool, etc, but willl pay a small green fee to play golf.

Looks like this thing is going to pass. So unless it passes by one vote, I'm not gonna feel like I fricked myself.

Stonebridge is a dumpster fire and will NEVER be profitable. The neighborhood is just delaying the inevitable. Between Lakewood, English Turn and Stonebridge all on the Westbank it will never be able to bring in enough money. I would sell my house ASAP.

ok, since you are obviously completely obtuse, you will be happy when 60% of the people who do not live on the golf course subsidize your property value, which you obviously did not give a frick about prior to this vote. if you wanted a country club , you would have paid to be in one.
don't force others to pay for one they don't want.

Well, you know what? Those folks outnumbered the people with property on the course. There was a VOTE today. They could have easily defeated this. They didn't. So frick em.

Even if I didn't live on this course I would vote yes for this tax on the way to the realtors office to sell my house.

The lower property values hit the whole neighborhood.
