The Kaiser was no Hitler, but he was a tyrant and had ambitions of being the big swinging dick in Europe and elsewhere. We would have bumped up against him eventually. Not to mention a lost war would probably have resulted in a communist revolution in England and/or France.

The more I study this stuff, the more I think it was inevitable and unavoidable.
