Every dollar spent at the fair, carnivals, and other traveling shows is gone from our local economy forever. The sad part is the people that spend the most on these shows are usually the ones that can least afford too.

when I was a kid the “State Fair” was in Shreveport for the last week, ten days of October, then they would pack and head down to Baton Rouge to be the state fair down there for about the same amount of time
