Just make sure to remember days like today when you vote in November.

I’m not in the middle of a war. That comparison is dog shite.

Different times create different people. My grandfather flew unarmed cargo planes over the Burma Hump in WW2. He had to rebuild a home from the ground up after losing it all to a hurricane.

No doubt some of my ancestors were tough SOBs. All I can do is be thankful previous generations did what they did to allow us all a nice life.

College football, followed closely by baseball, has been a mainstay in the fall all my life.

This life we are currently in sucks.
Finally someone spoke up about this.

It is a goddamn nightmare and I don’t think I can handle another 6 months of it.

Talk to family over in Norway several times a week and it is basically business as usual over there now. Words cannot describe how jealous I am of them.

Drugs and the outdoors got me through spring and summer but good god idk how to cope if this shite is still here when the weather turns cold.

We’d both much rather be at an Astros game, right? You can cheer on your boys in person and I can beat on my own trash can to run interference.

But for real...that’s the shite we need for sanity.

Damn, hate to hear that man. Try to get outside, take some walks, go to a park....anything to get active. Everyone is different but that’s definitely helped me keep my mood up. Either way keep your head up brother

During the summer months I usually play in the early afternoon because nobody is on the course due to heat. This summer it has been packed every day.

I feel you. I take daily meds, and I did my fair share of drinking this past summer and spring. The outdoors is about the extent of what you can do, but they’ve been closing beaches here because there’s been a flock of tourists. It’s been a major adjustment for me. I used to attend about 35 games a year for our Double A team. It’s been different filling up that time.

I’m not. I came to terms with a long time ago everything I want I have to work for. Even if that means working till the day I die. I don’t expect anything. My parents were independently wealthy. I am the same. I enjoy working.

I think you and me probably feel the same about a couple things. What I don’t like is a government telling me what to do with a virus that has a 98% survival rate. Quarantining is what you do to sick people. Why do they many need to suffer for the few? Go ahead and assume that everyone staying inside for months is going to be good for people.

So says Thomas Jefferson. I would proudly lay in the shite to preserve this union, but only because I want to do just that.

I’ve learned through all of this that there’s more to life than sports. I’ve worked on my fitness more than anything. Lost 30 lbs, got lean, and got my old body back. I’ve talked to my dad more, which has been hard since my mom passed, and I’ve worked harder than I ever had. You need to find some positives. I turn 40 in two months and I’ve made this the most productive year of my life personally. Sure, not having LSU football sucks, but there’s more to life if you allow yourself to see it.

It’s easy to say that in hindsight, but entertainment and sport has been a staple throughout the existence of man. I know those other activities fall into the entertainment and sport sector, but you catch my drift.

It’s not easy to say or do at all but if we are honest with ourselves we let it consume way too much of our lives. It’s become too big and society needs to get back to its roots.

Read some books, listen to podcasts, learn something, work at your career. I love sports too but there's a lot to enjoy about life if you expand your horizons.

I’ll definitely agree to that. That’s why I can also shake my head at how big of a business it’s all become. It’s the reason entertainers think they have such a huge platform when it comes to social and political issues. But that’s a different topic for another time.

I’ve definitely put on some weight during the quarantine, but I’m definitely not huge.
