Thanks man. I attribute our greatness to the operator baws making tree fiddy, slanging truck nutz, almost graduating LSU and buying their McMansions from level homes and DSLD for another tree fiddy.

I think BR gets a lot more shite here than it deserves, but downtown sucks, IMO. Not beautiful by any means and not much to do. Right up by the levee and capitol is nice, but Baton Rouge is so spread out and a lot of industry went up in the Seigan area that adversely effected downtown.

Campus is on the up and up though.

Baton Rouge would be a really nice place if the demographics were more favorable. It still has it’s nice pockets but you’re never far from the trash of the river parishes/Livingston or ghetto people who have no business in these said nice pockets. I have no clue how LSU sells prospective students from out of state on coming to school here if they drive in on highland road..

BR is terrible. At least NOLA has character and personality.

Except for the 2 miles between the campus and downtown, and the entire other half of the city from downtown to the airport and east to say O’Neal. Yeah, it’s beautiful.

It probably depends upon your reference to what a nice city is and what is not.

No, it’s not Mogadishu just yet, but hang in there.

Wall of text about BR

Contrary to popular belief, areas of Baton Rouge that are reflective of nation wide demographics are actually quite nice.

Every demographic percentage point that differs, a shithole that area exponentially becomes.

BR is an aging body with cancer that, at best, we can hope to contain and prevent the spread.

Traffic is the main killer for me. I've had people from LA tell me they hate the traffic here worse because they just become angry.

I much prefer houston traffic over BR. BR is just brain meltingly frustrating. Even when traffic isn’t intense, it’s about impossible to ever catch a green light and most drivers apparently have no where to go and no urge to get there.

Just drove through the entire DFW metroplex during drive time and it was not even close to the same level of aggravation as driving through BR during drive time.
