Door Dash fricked up too many of my orders and their recovery policies are bullshite. If I see DoorDash as a service provider, I pick a different restaurant.

Door Dash must not survive; they must fail so some GOOD food delivery services can have a chance to thrive and earn our confidence. I gave them too many chances. They do do not deserve to operate in the United States.

Yep. It has to suck to have a job that depends on lazy fat asses who won't throw some money to the person bringing food.

Dammit people, if you think you can't afford to tip correctly, just go get your damn food or cook at home.

frick off dude. Perfect gig for a college kid, and a large percent of the workforce relies on tips. If someone is too much of a cheapass to pay a fair tip, don't utilize the service

Take your lazy arse to get the food yourself.

This isn't my job, this is basically a hobby, i work out of town and this keeps me out of the house and helps me learn the area. Also helped me make an extra $1200 bucks in the last month by not accepting orders from cheap frickers such as yourself

There's thousands of other jobs that college kids can get without having to work under the shitty guidelines of these delivery services.

I dont because I've seen the people who drive for these delivery services and their cars. I don't want my food in their nasty hands or cars

Yeah right. Fix your policy then.

Agreed, but now that they are almost exclusively contract drivers they see if there is a tip before accepting an order and most won't if there is no tip because they are lazy shits.

Or because the money isn’t worth it.

Sorry I don’t feel like getting paid 3 bucks for wasting gas and dealing with McDonalds for half an hour to bring your lazy arse food. Fwiw I don’t care if there’s tips as long as I’m getting paid enough for my time. If the delivery fees 6 bucks but there’s no tip I could care less.

I would like to have the option to tip AFTER the food is delivered
This is actually a huge issue for most of the delivery services right now. Drivers will target runs with better tips if they can. Many of the apps allow the receiver to edit the tip after the service. So what is happening is that receivers are entering larger tips to get their goods and then lowering or removing them entirely after they receive the delivery. Bait and switch on a massive scale.

Sounds like the drivers are making a smart economical decision to me. Would you work for free or at a loss?

Your driver manufactures their own tip by sampling your food during the delivery.

So even when you don’t tip, you do tip.

Now you can sleep at night, you’re welcome.

This is why I don't have food delivered.

You’re fricking over the driver to prove a point to the service you constantly use?

Meh during normal times I would agree. Not many decent jobs right now.
Lot's of former Uber/Lift drivers are now doing this food delivery stuff because nobody is using the former during the shutdown.

All some of us are saying is just be a decent human and tip these folks accordingly. It's not that difficult.

from experience this usually has nothing to do with the driver (not always) the way these things are packaged and what we’re told to do it’s often impossible to know what’s in the bag. As far as the wait I was sitting in a restaurant waiting on food for 45 minutes the other day. We get just as pissed off as you do. Now if it’s cold when it gets to you that’s a different story. That’s likely on the driver.

I usually just tip cash directly to the driver. All these apps incorrectly calculate tips

They base the percentage off of total of food plus fees and I want to tip 20% on the food, not the delivery fee.

It's just easier and probably better for the driver if I just give them cash
