Circle K near Cahaba Valley on US 280 in Hoover, AL. Pull in to get gas, start the pump, walk in and grab my $.85 fountain drink. Go to pay and there is a fricking TIP jar on the counter WITH MONEY IN IT.

I have been in and around the service industry at different periods over my life, and I've never minded tipping, but I think this might be a bridge too far even for me.

I’ve seen tip jars as gas stations for decades.

Solution: Don’t tip.

Just drop a couple coins in there and be on your way.

Where the frick do you live?

I've seen the March of Dimes jars and the help out the crippled kid down the road jars, but I have NEVER seen a jar with TIPS at a gas station.

I didn’t know who this was till I looked it up.

Wtf does Nymeria have to do with gas station tip jars?

You must go to some fancy pants gas stations then.

In fairness, I haven't had to ask for a key attached to a hubcap to take a piss in years.

My goals whenever I have to patronize a Circle K:

- Avoid being asked for money in the parking lot
- Avoid any customers fighting each other
- Avoid a customer cussing out the clerk
- Avoid standing behind someone buying scratch off lottery tickets
- Avoid standing behind someone without enough money to pay for their tall boy, dill pickle, and chips, then having to wait for someone else to walk in with the balance.
- A clerk that can find and hand me my Zyns within 15 seconds.

I’ll gladly tip a dollar if the above criteria is met.

I look for Circle Ks lately because you typically get between 5-15 cents back per gallon if you use the Upside app and sign up for their rewards program and you get a nickel off the top per gallon. Their rewards and cash back program are much higher than any of other gas stations around my area.

I use Upside like a Piggy Bank. I don't touch it all year and then by December I have close to $1K to "treat myself" to something stupid.

I always take the change out to pay my bill, so I don’t break another bill.

Don't get me started on Delivery Fees. $10.99 medium 3 toppings pizza...get to checkout and it's $23.

So, it's carryout for me these days. Pizza is cheaper and hotter if you pick it up.

Honestly, if anybody deserves a little something extra here and there, it's a graveyard shift gas station cashier that has to see the absolute weirdest shite you could ever imagine.
