Gutless, unoriginal pop "country" is dying.

Radio country is just pop music trash now. Why would people pay money to watch that?

And yet I'd bet my last dollar the FQ was safer that weekend than it will be for that other music festical at the Dome next month. Service workers probably got better tips too, no doubt.

Pretty sure there were a few shootings in the FQ last weekend.

I can't remember a time where anything violent happened during essence fest.

Plenty of people do, as evidenced by the fact that country musicians are some of the richest in the world

My theory- and its not just strictly to this festival or those people- is because most people want/desire/crave to post pic/vids of themselves on social media doing shite. It really seems to be the driving force behind a lot of crap today. A festival like that isn't attracting the music fan that is concerned with quality or talent.

And maybe to look at whores too, I dunno, I don't go to pop country festies.

I had a blast going to Country Thunder in Wisconsin in 2004-2005. Woodstock '99 was also fun (including them riots at the end).

Multi-day music festivals are fun, but I don't get the point of doing them in a stadium? Should take place somewhere the camping and tailgating feels part of the show, and not just something going on at the outskirts of the stadium. Gives you (and the girls you're trying to hit on) the feeling of being in an alternate society for a few days where the normal rules don't matter and euphoria can preside!

I hope they keep it if it generates any revenue for the state or city. I wouldn't go but I'm not really a music festival guy. I can't stand that tractor rap shite but I wouldn't mind seeing Hank Jr or Brooks and Dunn.
