I think it is just how the fan base is. As a non Aggie. They for whatever reason rally behind one another in a cultish phenomena. There isn’t news on them based on geography, KHOU and other Houston affiliates are mildly interested.
They also have verified people on twitter with lots of followers. Imagine Fred with a verified @TD handle

If I had any kind of interneting skills I would start the NFL rant. It would be a disaster but nfl games are consistently the most watched things on all of media. Even noon games.
Unfortunately the mob would be crazy nfc east fans posting porn and shite. But on a platform such as this you can be seen and not lost in the bot postings. So you get to know and interact with the others.
