Ticket Master up charging in city purchases vs. out of state

So I reside in the Shreveport/Bossier area and was interested in taking my son to one of those Tuff Hedemen bull riding things for his birthday at the Centurytel Center. I pull up the arena on ticket master and see the cheapest ticket is $47 and the best tickets near the chutes are closer to $100.
I call up my mom who lives in Texas to discuss the prices and see if she wants to come as well.
She pulls up the arena on ticket master and says, "I see some for $25 and close to the chutes is $75."
Confused we begin to zero in on exact sections, rows and seats. Sure enough her prices are all showing roughly $20 dollars cheaper.
I'm not complaining, I'll get her to purchase the tickets through her computer, but what gives? Is she getting a break being out of state with the assumption she may rent a hotel room and contribute to the local economy? Whereas I'd attend the event and go home. Could it just be a local tax on natives to fund the arena?
Anyone ever run across this?

I use a VPN so I wonder however cheap they are for people in the Czech Republic.

Try looking them up using incognito mode and see what the prices are? Have you looked them up multiple times? It's not abnormal for prices to be inflated for people regular checking a price online.

No, just started the search this morning and called her about the prices. She luckily jumped on her computer just to see the layout of the event and that's when we noticed the discrepancy.

FWIW, the Facebook page for the event says the prices are $25-$75 too.

I just looked, 93 and 127 dollars depending on seat. I am in shreveort.

Maybe you're looking at full price with service fees included and she isn't.

The price difference you're describing is exactly the difference between face value and face value + fees.

Select those tickets and get to the payment part of the checkout process. Click on price details and screen shot it. I can get two tickets for $90 all in.

You are right. The previous screen shot $47 + fees was confusing me.

Thanks for the screenshot. I suspect that the preferences on your account are to show prices with fees as opposed to face value.

Do you get to waive the $14 service fee if you physically purchase them at Centurytel?

Yeah that's stout. You can go see him in El Paso for $54.25, all in, for two tickets.
