I used to schedule pilots
I will be surprised if the pilots give any back
Money and scheduling are primarily what they care about
The scheduling is computer driven and optimized at most airlines now except for a few. The company will rerun the schedule bids and issue revised schedules to the pilots. The pilots will fly the revised schedules and then sue the company, it will go to arbitration and the pilots will be paid 50 bucks and given a turkey voucher to compensate them for the complication.
I think something similar happened in Europe recently and the pilots didn't cooperate with the company, that won't happen in the US since the DOT, FAA, and national mediation board pretty much always side with the airlines since they are providing an essential service.

Can't they just get the co-pilots to cover for them?
