ULM & Grambling should close and merge with LA Tech. Three universities that close together is absurd.
Our state is too small and broke for that shite

Eff fees.
I believe for In state tuition a semester at LSU is $4K (assuming no TOPS). Fees are now $2K. $6K a semester for in state tuition and fees, Too damn high.

quote:Explain how that is the case.
The fee is essentially an investment to make the degree more valuable, in my opinion.
quote:You assume this fee will be used in the way they proclaim.
Not too mention it’s a ton more forthright in its intentions then a lot of the other bullshite vague fees universities charge like an academic excellence fee or whatever other shite they come up with.
Honestly, what will most likely happen, they will likely decrease funding for those entities through normal sources, allowing them to dispense those funds to other useless causes.

quote:I can’t tell you how many times I have people ask me “where?” Or “who?” Or whatever else when I tell them where I went to school. ULM has made great strides in building up the academics of the school the last 10 or so years but i feel like it doesn’t matter if nobody knows about it. Building up the athletics (and other organizations) only gives the university more chances to get its name out.
Explain how that is the case.

They should just start cutting all of the non profit generating sports.
That would end all college athletics except football and some basketball programs.

Hush, they want you to believe otherwise.

They did the same or similar when I attended. I believe that time it was in effort to fund student services including the rec center. With the ways funding and budgeting is, it maybe the only way to keep revenue for those services. Maybe they could have allocated some of the millions they spent on President's mansion and alumni center.
