That's going to be tough. Check out apartments in this Elmwood area:

You'd be close to the Huey P Long bridge and there are some OK restaurants in that area. But $800/month for a month to month lease is probably going to leave you living in a shitty area. Your best bet may really be living in Marrero.

Short rant...

I can't stand how PT rotations are setup. Yes, I know they need to be in different settings but the time period is always just long enough to make a hotel too expensive or temp stay on a friend's couch too uncomfortable. But still too short to find an inexpensive lease.

We lucked out in that one was local to our house, the other was in a city where we had a family friend with a guest house, and the truly random one a member of the clinical instructors church hosted her for the 2 months.

I hear you but I'm in school in Kentucky and as it's my last rotation I wanted to move back to Louisiana. The clinic is actually owned by a donor to the university so a living situation may be set up for me. I was just curious about the area.

I really have no problem being there for 13 weeks. I love what I do and it'll be a unique experience no matter where I go.
