May be making a move down that way soon for a job opportunity. Where should I be looking at housing? Harker Heights?

I used to live on Lake Belton, that area Belton, Morgans Point is much better than the Killeen Harker Heights area IMO and is only ten miles from Killeen.plus they have good bbq in Belton I like Millers Smokehouse Schoepf’s BBQ is pretty good too and they have free live Music
The only thing better in Killeen is the Asian food my favorite is Korean Kitchen

Temple/Belton area is better than Killeen/Harker Heights/ Copperas Cove. I moved to Temple in 1991. Temple Bible Church is an LSU run church.

Killeen is full of enlisted men and the crap that goes with them, Temple or Belton is better.

Saying a church is LSU run is funny to me because anything besides Catholicism obvs isn't LSU heritage.

Good people, I have a buddy that lives there (Harker Heights). He is ex-military and runs a youth football league.. Gets hot a frick..

Dude send me a message, been here on and off since 2006 Killeen is awful, Harker Heights is OK, Temple and Belton are really great places to live. I try to not even stop for gas in Killeen.

Downtown Belton has really took off since the jail moved out of there. Millers and Schoepfs are awesome just like previous poster said, Schoepfs also runs a summer concert series every Thursday. Good coffee shop downtown called Arushas and tons of Mexican restaurants. Best bar in the area is O'Briens in downtown Temple, OK food but great beer selection.
If you work on Hood you can go the back way on Nolan Rd through the ranges it takes 25 minutes but never changes because there is no traffic. 190 is a crapshoot, always under construction and people drive like morons so half the time it's backed up from fender benders.
Killeen does have some good Asian food, Taiwan Dragon is my favorite.

Move to Georgetown and commute to Kileen.
