re: Thoughts on Derek Chauvin’s sentence?

His defense attorney, who was masterful btw, pointed out the effect that the crowd had. And IMO it absolutely had a huge impact, he wasn’t going to let anyone tell him what to do and give them a win. He wasn’t trying to kill Floyd, he was trying to show that he was in charge.

I think you meant to say Fentanyl.
When the prosecutors Dr said under oath Fentanyl doesn’t cause breathing restrictions. I knew it was all for show and the verdict would be eventually overturned. The first symptoms of an opioid OD is the capacity to breath. That’s what kills them
Is they basically suffocate to death.

Honestly yes, claimed two lives in this instance.

This is probably a good way to sum it up. I’ve had to ask cops many times to lighten up or get off a pt. Many times I’m unaware of what happened before I got there. Also cops, especially back in the day, are unaware of medical shite and what they can be doing to a pt, especially factoring in adrenaline and not only worried about their suspect harming them but people in the crowd. I’ve personally witnessed a cop get shot while retaining someone in a downtown area broad daylight, person who knew the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him, cop was fine fortunately. shite can get intense

He showed complete disregard for Floyd’s life

Thoughts on Derek Chauvin’s sentence?

Floyd had 10 chances to get in the car. They were trying to convince him for 5 minutes. Floyd kicked his way out the car and asked to be put on the ground.
By the way he was saying repeatedly he couldn’t breath in the back of the cop car before he was on the ground.
Do you dispute any of that?
If not, why are you saying chauvin wanted him on the ground?

Thoughts?
If the races of the cop and criminal were reversed the cop isn’t even suspended.

So he just happened to OD at the exact time that a knee was on his neck? And the medical examiner concluded that he died from asphyxia.

I’m a paramedic and have worked 100s if not 1,000s of opioid overdoses.

His knee wasn’t on his neck. The prosecution admitted this.
You are trying to say it was a blood choke when it wasn’t
You obviously didn’t watch any of the trial

It was pathetic they had that trial in Minneapolis right in the middle of all the protesting garbage. If they change the venue he walks… which is why they didn’t change the venue.
There’s been interviews of the jury since the trial and it’s terrifying listening to them. They felt it was their job to right a wrong and put him in jail.

What the frick does any of that have to do with what happened? Also Chauvin didn’t know any of that at the time, so it’s irrelevant. But are you really suggesting that someone who may be a shitty person deserves to be killed without a trial or anything? Gtfo

You keep repeatedly making statements that are factually wrong and don’t address when you are corrected.
It’s clear you just wanted to tell everyone you are glad chauvin is locked up and think Floyd was murdered.
You never really had a question
Are you done yet?

he did not intend to kill him
Half of your downvotes are for the first statement and half are for the second fwiw.
quote:
I can’t say they got it wrong legally, but I personally believe intent is paramount and should be required
The other half is for this. The law is the law, bro. While you can question whether he should have been convicted based on the evidence as to the elements of the crime, the elements of the crime are the elements of the crime.

And now you know why they dont "lighten" up.
Floyd could have just sat in the car, he would have been back on the street in an hour.

Floyd overdosed. Why do you ignore that?
Posted on 2/18/22 at 8:17 am to WaWaWeeWa
I watched the video and the entire trial, the most telling thing is the look on his face when Floyd is put in the ambulance and he realizes that he’s dead. It’s the biggest “oh shite” expression I’ve ever seen. And it conveys that his actions absolutely led to his death but absolutely not intentionally.
