I think people judging how other people parent should mind their own business. If a child today is lucky enough to have two active parents then it's a win, date or no date.

Although these kinds of dates may be enforcing gender roles, I think it's more beneficial than detrimental as it will educate the children on, as the lady stated, how they deserve to be treated or how they should treat one another. And who better to teach them that than their parents? I believe too often, people are in toxic relationships because they're not taught how to value themselves from an earlier age.

I have both a son and a daughter and I try to periodically take them to take them to do stuff without anyone else. Father/son or father/daughter nights if you will. They aren't dates, just bonding with your kids. We've dressed up nice and went places before, nothing wrong with that and teaches them a bit of class if anything else.
