Truth provides Meaning. It’s not always pleasant though, so many prefer affirmation and narrative. If you prefer affirmation, you are human , if you prefer narrative you are in darkness.
Meditation imho, or quiet reflection is indeed the best thing one can do to alleviate anxiety and start thinking about truth.
