re: Those that travel for your job - Expense Reporting question

Used to deal with lost receipts all the time. The moment my co-worker told me there would be no reimbursements without actual receipts (not just credit cards statements) it is amazing how much more organized I became (expenses are always between $1300 and $6500 a month).

Doesn't have to be a .zip file. Can be a word doc...just looking for an easier way to capture them into one doc
Right now i'm taking pics and pasting them in Word...sounds stupid for someone with an IT degree haha
Someone pays you?
ETA: Sorry, not meaning to sound like a dick, but you're in IT...

We use Concur at my office for our expense reporting and the app lets you take a picture of the receipt and uploads it to your expense report. It makes it easy because I tend to lose the small receipt such as dinner or something along those lines. As soon as I get the receipt I take a picture and then I don't have to worry about losing it. I am lucky enough to have a company truck with a gas card, so I do not have to keep up with fuel receipts.

People have said it, but Concur is what you are looking for. Link it with Expense It and just take photos of receipts on the spot.

My company gives you a per diem, the amount of which is based on where you travel, no receipts required. Receipts are necessary only if your expenses exceed the per diem.

The Concur app is great. As soon as I get a receipt, I snap a pic of it so I don't have to worry about losing it.

Genius scan allows you to scan your receipts into a PDF of jpg file and either save them to your phone, email them to yourself, or if you pay like $4 you can save to google drive or Dropbox

I used an app called "executive assistant" worked well.

Concur works very well on my end. The only problem I have is when I do it through the app, my supervisor says they can't see my receipts and sends it back to me. Even though I can see them uploaded.
So, I have to always do it through the desktop version. I don't know if it's a glitch or my supervisor is just dumb

I'm the most unorganized person in the world...are there any apps out there that can make collecting all my receipts into some type of document that can make this process a little more painless?

Mileage IQ. If you have to track your miles it is a great app.

I've heard of many people that use Concur, but of all the people I know that use it, almost every single one of them hates it. I have a similar job where I work from home with occasional travel and we use Expensify. It's about the easiest expense reporting solution I've ever used, but I have no idea how much it costs.

Expensify has been pretty good for me.

I work with a lot of people that use Concur and everyone loves it.

Expensify is the best app/program I've ever used. Highly recommend.
