What in the flying frick does a free speech case have to do with fire engine monopolies?
It was always about unlimited campaign contributions wrapped in the veneer of free speech. Corporations argued if they could not give millions of dollars to their favorite candidates, then their free speech was being limited.
In other words, total Bulls***t.

What do you propose?
A 4th branch of government. Every state elects 1 representative, and that group of 50 has direct oversight and authority over every publicly traded company and private equity group.
A corporation gets too big and they get broken into 10 pieces.
A PE firm gets too big and it gets liquidated.

ESO, backed by the private equity firm Vista Equity Partners, is one of many companies aggressively investing in public safety systems, where tax dollars provide a steady source of revenue. Some of the companies have come to dominate the supply of fire engines, emergency radios and fire retardant, among other vital products — with fire and police agencies objecting to the sharply rising costs.
That PE firm should be liquidated immediately and all funds given to the governments and taxpayers that its stolen from.

private equity has ruined
What has PE made better?
When your goal is to buy a company and milk it for every penny, its not going to get better from an employee or customer service side.

They are called REV Group.
