This is all about publicity and celebrity. I'll bet Sonny Rollins could play in a concert and she wouldn't give him a key to the city.

I could go on and on with a huge rant about local black politics. Candidate with a criminal record v. candidate without one - guess who wins? Lets pay Cleo Fields for the "Cleo Fields ballot" that is mailed out, telling people who to vote for.
We're our own worst enemy. We won't elect a successful black businessman to office. We won't elect stand up and righteous lawyers (they often go to become prosecutors).
