If I never hear the terms Social Distancing and Flatten the Curve again in my life I’ll be happy.

Agree with every word you said. Thanks for bailing me out of jail and hopefully see you at a reunion in a month or two.

I've never been so upset about something potentially getting canceled as I was about this.

Man, that was going to be fun. Really hope we still do it in the Summer or something.

(not concerts/sports/crowded venues and potentially capacity restrictions on some stuff)
why not? people know the risks if they attend...

Still necessary to prevent big clusters until we have more rapid testing and better antiviral treatments for this. The quickest way to get shut down again is have a huge flare up.

There was a church in Cartersville, GA that had a micro-cluster and overwhelmed one of our hospitals in a matter of days. I think 40+ people from one group. Imagine 100+ from one sporting event or concert. It gives us less time to quarantine and trace the sick.

People might know and accept the risks, but people they come into contact with later on don't. I'm in agreement that is the eventual play, but I think we need a soft opening.

Also worth noting it would probably be the most politically expedient route. Sort of a middle ground.
