Yes they do spirit and allegiant are to left when you walk in the door. Delta, united, and others are to the right.

That’s the pre screen line.

I've flown every airline there is basically. Spirit is no different from any other experience I've had.
Just get upgraded seats and you're set.

Where the hell is TSA in all that, those animals were rushing an employee with a badge to secure areas. That is a definite security breach and they should be charged with terrorism.

I do not have precheck.

ETA: If look at IAH Terminal A they have a north and south security line. North typically host flights like delta, united, etc. the south terminal is Spirit, Allegaint and the likes.

Plus if you are flying with luggage by the time you buy the seat, pay for the luggage and all the other bullshite you probably could have flown another airline for the same price.
Most people fly Spirit for short trips (i.e., you don't need to check a bag). Hell, they even charge for a carry-on, so I only fly with them if it's a 1-2 day trip. You also have to know to pay in advance for non-personal items because the gate fee will be twice as much as other airlines and the money you saved is out the window.

The only time I flew Spirit the service sucked. No one was there to check luggage till an hour prior to the flight. So instead of sitting at restaurant relaxing, I had to sit down at the luggage check for a hour hungover as shite.

It just sounds like your only experience with them was not great and are holding a grudge. I've flown Spirit a few times and have never had an issue. I think it's a great budget-friendlier option if you know what you're doing.

Y'all remember that show on A&E like 15-20 years ago that followed Southwest Airlines crew around. Some of the shite those people had to deal with from crazy customers was epic.

I remember that show. Apparently, Southwest was the only airline brave enough to agree to do it. None of the other majors at the time wanted to risk it.

Airports are the most fascinating place to observe people going whacko...

Agreed. I had this same discussion,i.e. airport people watching, with a girl in the Vegas airport. No one wants to be in an airport. Either you are eager to get somewhere or bummed to be ending a trip. The airport is simply the "middle man" in the process.

Anyone know why they were so upset? Surely they must have felt oppressed and this outburst is excused.

I can understand doing Spirit if you have a short flight to Houston, Dallas, Orlando, etc., but otherwise if not don't do it. Spirit sucks arse.

I adore airports because I know I am about to be somewhere else, and they are extremely comforting to me.

I'm in LAX right now, might be the trashiest place I've seen in a long time. Holy cow..

And I rarely use the word trashy.

If you think animals like that don't fly on the other airlines, you need to get out more.

On any airline, I have only two concerns. Taking off and landing safely, preferably on time but that’s negotiable based on price and airline history.. The in between discomfort I can deal with

Spirit has the newest fleet of planes, and good maintenance, nothing else matters to me. Some of the other carriers are junkyards of the sky.

Sure, but you just increase your odds of encountering them on Spirit than other airlines.
