A family friend who was a professional woman motorcycle racer died in a crash (hit a guy who wasn't supposed to be on the track).

I know John Noonan. He came off a bike on the salt flats about a decade ago at just a little bit over 200 mph and he was mostly unscathed. His gear was beat up but that was about it.
Then, just a few months ago he was at Mojave and came off about 200 feet from the starting line at only 40 mph and he bounced and shattered his pelvis.
