Worst was a 125 lb 5 year old. No shite the kid has breathing issues, his fat is literally crushing him.
Jesus. That's terrible. I'm surprise Michelle Obama hasn't led the crusade to have these parents arrested.

neither do I, but people of all body types exhibit those traits in regards to various things. However in this thread and in every other one like it, the eagerness with which everyone likes to display their "fat shaming" is more embarrassing than the obesity epidemic in this country.
Also to the people who like to drop the "I support those trying to help themselves..." line (not specifically referring to you here), do you really? Do you make fun of fat people at the gym, do you find out if a person has a condition, or any underlying cause before reveling in your fat shaming skill?
And when i said the empathy comment, really meant on a broad scope not saying you all hating on fat people was somehow going to kill said fat people faster than their health problems.

such as?

i don't know, doesn't a thyroid condition or something like that make people unable to lose weight or at least struggle with it.
To play off of the nurses comment, if a kid is already obese at 6, doesn't have parents that help or teach proper nutrition, at age 16 is it time for him to be accepted as a fat shaming target? probably increasing depression which seems to be a common reasoning for impulsive or comfort eating.

lack of empathy and compassion is much much worse for this country than the obesity epidemic
Um, no.
One of them is a productivity drag to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars per year (and is something that we are all forced to subsidize). The other is not.

You seem to have an intimate knowledge of this issue

Will fat people be the next group of Americans to bitch and wine about equal rights? Come on now, It's not their fault. They were born with low metabolism, lack of self control, poor selfesteem, or what ever excuse they use.
Well we don't have to worry about them marching on Washington.

Don't take the OT too seriously, half the people here are fat. They're just not this kind of fat.

Shaming people for being unhealthy slobs makes us all TPOS.
Amazingly most of fat peoples problems would disappear if they put down the nachos and went on a run.
They might actually get laid with a non fatty. Their self confidence would infinitely improve. They might even live past 50
