Of course I don't. But my parents having 2 more children after my brother and I, both of which are mentally challenged and will forever depend on my parents.....DEF put a financial drain on us as a family back then.
I'm just saying that my parents didn't make wise decisions when they choose to have more kids when we were already poor.
Now my father is 66 and just got laid off depending on only his social security "retirement" checks. My mother and brother and sister all work part time jobs(good luck finding a full time job now)....but only making barely more than minimum wage. They are surviving....but barely.

The people this thread is targeted at have made a pretty clear choice to remain disgustingly obese, and deserve neither my pity, nor my compassion.

Would your parents say they made an unwise decision or is that your opinon?

You think fat people cost you more than the welfare, food stamp, etc loving crowd?
And that begets another question - what percentage of the welfare/food stamp crowd is obese? I'd bet it's higher than the rest of the population.

This thread isn't fun anymore.. yall bringing serious discussion in here and shite..

Eh, i feel bad for them because they obviously have a mental disorder on top of being obese.

lack of empathy and compassion is much much worse for this country than the obesity epidemic.
A lack of empathy wont cause a heart attack at 35.

What parent is gonna admit that though?
But I'll tell you as a child/teen I held a lot of anger at them for choosing to drop us even further into poverty.

Making fun of them doesn't make them skinny. It just makes them feel bad. Maybe they'll kill themselves. Will you be happy then?

This isn't about those who feel bad about it.. this thread is about those who act like its normal and those who aren't obese have the problem.

When i say shaming, i'm talking about the in your face or even behind your back rude comments. I agree that we should not have to change things in society to cater to larger people like bigger seats and whatnot. Make health insurance more expensive? Sure. I just dont understand the meanness. I feel sorry for fat people, poor people, whatever. Guess that is just me.
Considering medical programs are about 45% of the federal budget and welfare/food stamps are only a couple of percent...yes, yes they do cost more...much more, in fact.
There is also statistically significant overlap between the two.
Would I personally say something to an obese person? No, probably not - unless it were an airplane situation. Would I have an issue if someone else did? Nope.

We were not born yesterday. This is the OT. All the comments apply to all fat people (minus those literally at a gym right now of course (only if they are really working hard too)) and you know it.

Negative. I'm talking about their "thin privilege" movement..

If someone lacks enough shame to reach 400, 500, 600 pounds then nothing I could possibly say to them will make them suicidal.
Besides, why should I respect someone who clearly has absolutely no self-respect whatsoever?

Just seems like some kind of coping mechanism.
