Done. LC yesterday and 570 today. Don't agree. The LC is more sporty but you pay another $25K to $30k for the 570 also. The 570 is more polished.

naw, I'll keep my 13 mpg LandCruiser and go for 250,000....like I did with my 1992 gas hog (6 cylinder) and not worried about a tow.

Doesn't BMW have some whorish repair bills before the vehicle even hits 50,000 miles? Let us know how that works out for you.

I saw one last week that had a license plate that said “BMW X7.” The X7 badge and BMW propellor were still on the vehicle.

Was that you?

If that one really is yours, you need to worry less about rolling and more about learning how to park.

ou know a new Land cruiser is basically the same price as an LX570, right? It's just full of plastic everywhere, and feels like a cheap 4 runner. No idea how they sell any of them

I love the Land Cruiser.

But the front of the Lexus version is hideous.

I’ll keep my ‘06 Jeep Wrangler
It’ll go anywhere that can go and go places where that can’t go

Frankly, the "utility" side is the soccer mom/grocery carrying that basically any large vehicle can do is what is being sold today.

Of course you're correct from a capability standpoint, the real Jeeps (Wrangler and, maybe, the Grand Cherokee) and a couple of vehicles from Toyota (Land Cruisers, 4WD Tacomas and 4Runners) are the only credible off-road/overland vehicles left in the market.

Baw trucks, however much they make them look "off-road" are often too heavy to do anything when they leave the pavement. Most of the rugrat hauling, low-slung "station wagons" (crossovers) aren't any more capable of doing things off-road than the sedans they replaced.
