Jones some chick last night at the bar I was at was talking about how her neighbor invited her to Barrett Jackson for today. She was whining about having to be there all day and asking what she should wear. I had to talk her out of wearing heels(had to remind her of all the walking there) and that if she is hoping to meet single men there(she isn't dating the neighbor and they are just friends)....they are all gonna be too busy looking at the cars to worry about chasing women.
Her neighbor that invited her...is gonna be bidding on cars there and has a bunch of VIP passes for the thing. My husband was like "if you don't want to go, I'll gladly go in your place"

That's what we were thinking. She didn't know specifics. We just asked her if he was buying any cars there and she just said the guy is loaded and likely will be. She was very concerned about what to wear though. I kept trying to tell her to just wear casual and comfortable stuff but for some reason she thought you had to be all dressed up to go

It seems very casual when viewing on tv. Even some of the ballers in the first rows are dressed in jeans and a collared shirt.
The only people I see in suits are in the sky boxes.

It is very casual, that is what I kept trying to tell her. I told her she will stick out, in not a good way, if she goes there all decked out. She will look like a mid 30s single woman desperate for male attention. (I didn't say that last part to her but that was the message my husband and I were trying to subtly convey to her).
