This. As someone who lived through the 70s, 80s, amd 90s, I remember each decade having its own feel and style that was very distinct from the one before. But, at least from my perspective, the 00s and 10s have no discernible difference from one another.


Completely agree. Everything since 2000 just seems blended together, but it's hard to explain why. Like technology doesn't even define that period because it's changes so rapidly.

My only guess as to why is because people are so connected to media fads come and go at a more rapid pace. Not much these days has staying power.

Good lord. If you were any more sensitive I’d swear you were a woman. I didn’t say anything a out anything being better or worse. You just chose to take it that way because you’re so damned sensitive. Lighten up, Nancy.

I use the Wonder Years gap: it premiered in 1988 and was set in 1968. A nostalgia show released today with a similar retrospective period would be set in 1999.
