There are a lot of "its possible" and "maybes" in that video. The military thought his car was full of bombs and would soon be headed to the Kabul Airport to blow up a ton of people. I see no evidence in the video to refute that.

Dude shut the frick up. You voted for this dumbass cause trump wasn’t nice to your feelings
Posted on 9/10/21 at 4:50 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
That's par for the course with this shitshow of an administration.

If Trump was in office, most of the people in this thread would be saying that the water was actually gasoline.

Such a weak-arse response.

The usual suspects in here feigning incredulity when it's their incompetent administration calling the shots.

But because Biden's in office, the mass murder of Muslims is now ok. It isn't ok. It was never ok. We export more violence around the world than all other countries combined and yet have the nerve to lecture others about human rights. And CrimsonFever's attitude perfectly illustrates the evil of our political establishment and those who support permanent war.

This administration…. I just can’t put it in words how awful and evil they are. If there’s a hell, all of them are going to it.
Every administration which oversaw that war has done the same thing unfortunately.

Trump pledged to stop 'endless wars' but his airstrikes in Afghanistan increased civilian deaths by 330% since 2016

Airstrikes killed 700 civilians in Afghanistan in 2019 alone, more than any other year since the early days of the war in 2002, according to the study. "There were more weapons dropped from the air in 2018 and 2019 than at the height of US presence in Afghanistan in 2011," the report stated.
Business Insider
I am sure they ran here to the OT to start a thread about this when it happened.

I was told the entire Afghanistan Exit was a huge success.

Sad thing is that it was the best thing we've done in that country in a decade.

there’s our totally unbiased partisan COVID expert to weigh in.

Yep.
Trump had 4 years to get out of Afghanistan and didn't and I doubt he ever would have had he been reelected. Biden got us out of there in his first year, that's what leadership looks like.

Well that’s just fricking nonsense.
How about holding the Taliban, ISIS, and Al-Queda at bay for years with minimal troop deployment. ~2500 since 2019. And less than 5k since 2016. Which was the 9th largest active US military deployment around the globe. And hell before this complete failure there had been 0 active military deaths in Afghanistan since January 2020. But please, continue telling us how successful this exit was.

What about Afghani civilian deaths?
Posted on 9/10/21 at 5:15 pm to Sneaky__Sally
what about them? they’ve skyrocketed in the last month haven’t they?
Also, several of the FBI’s most wanted international terrorist are apart of Afghanistan’s new ‘government’
huge huge success.

Afghanistan has been a massive disaster for well over a decade and we had to get out. I assume you agree with most of the country in that sentiment.
Yes, the pullout was done terribly - but no other president stood up to the MI complex as well as the media and actually got us out. I absolutely wish that Trump had gotten us out and done it in a more organized manner but he didn't do that.
So I'm left having to be both extremely happy that Biden got us out and upset that we did it in such a terrible manner. In the long run, getting out is still a positive even though it was done poorly.
