That's just a weird story
Why did he have an Arkansas poster send him panties?

Actually the thing I hate the most about the military and service is the inability or lack of interest in getting civilian licensing for MOS specialty.
Truck drivers in the military should be able to leave and have everything they need to be employed in the civilian sector. Same with many other MOS categories, but there seems to be no interest in making it so. I hate that a lot of guys, including myself, do their service and have to get out and start over.

There is USMAP (military apprenticeship program) that has to be done when you're in though.
I was a recruiter for 3 yrs out of my 10 and had to do public speaking in college. I think my smart transcript had over 130 credits and only about 6 got transferred to life experience credits.

I'm sure I'll rate more when I actually get to a university, but that was at the community college im at for my associates. Will be graduating and transferring after this next semester.

That shite is a fricking joke. I signed up to do HVAC technician... then found out you had to log something like 6,000 hours. To get that I would have had to do more than 4 hours every single day of the year for over 4 years. I couldn't even blaze that many hours and make it look legit.
I don't know a single person that actually ever completed an apprenticeship program through USMAP.

Haha that's when you have a supervisor whip that shite. I never said it was golden, but it is a certificate that is recognized by the dept of Labor.
Etd Most who did it was able to credit 2000 hours by qualifications.

Such a fricking REMF arse thing to say. Just your plain old POG bitch.

And I'm sure you wear your uniform when you come home and tell your war stories.
P.s. every man who has served in combat arms fricking hates you.

You can't even fake that many hours of HVAC work as an MM. I was the ONLY person on my boat that knew anything about the refrigeration system and I did maybe 4 hours of total work on the system a month. There is absolutely no way you could legitimately log 6,000 of HVAC work on a submarine over an entire 20 year career.
And I just looked it up to verify... I was wrong. Refrigeration mechanic actually takes 8,000 hours.
They have a program for Pipe Coverer And Insulator that's 8,000 hours. Goddamn how do you do 8,000 hours of insulating pipes???

I was a POG in the Marines. Scored high on the ASVAB, so I went for EOD. Got placed as an Ammo-tech with an option to go EOD after my initial enlistment right out of MCT.
Deployed with an MP unit. Mostly did FOB runs from TQ circa 2007. Got back, asked to transfer to what is now Raiders. Worked as the ammo-tech for Anglico and Raiders (MSOB) for a year before going out to Okinawa as the ammo chief for a 3rd Recon, where I then did an additional deployment.
The only people who seriously call someone a POG are boot fricks who have never deployed and never seen combat. If you had, you’d know that most who have seen shite really don’t give a frick about MOS. Raiders and Recon buddies of mine agree with me on this, and we’d laugh at you.
You kind of sound like a frickin boot or some national guard frick. Sorry a POG kicked your arse and fricked your stripper girlfriend in front of you in the back of your Mustang you bought outside of base at 13% interest.

Yep. I was a pog mech on Hueys & Cobra's in a HMLA. Did some flying and became an AO (mostly testing for maintenance).
I remember in OIF & OEF the ground guys always coming around to say thanks for keeping them safe.
If grunts/ground pounders didn't have the support they'd be fricked.
Also did a successful tour of recruiting. That I wish upon no one. Can't believe I wanted to submit a 12 package. Glad I didn't though

One of those times that you love it but hate it. Worked 100+ hrs/week, but took alot of naps on my couch or GOV.
Such a horrible command and leaders. I remember telling my SNCOIC, that I'd rather be in a POW camp then work for him. He understood and hours got a bit better.
5 hours away from RS, 1 hour away from RSS, working by myself in a PCS in rural Arkansas.
