Smartphones and social media kicked that ish into overdrive. Dopamine and serotonin addicted Pavlovian robots. Drop an EMP on some satellites and reboot this mfer.
Its hard to remember what it was like to be free. Out and about, no phones, no one to have to contact every few minutes.
Everything on demand really screwed up the human psyche.

Exactly…. This generation has become so lazy and pampered. It makes me wonder how we made in those days without all the stuff people have today.

It really has been damaging to humans and human relationships. I guess the theory that was sold to us was that technology would connect everyone, Kumbaya, let's all hold hands, or whatever but it's had the opposite effect. It's used to segment, target, and divde people against each other. And then people self-isolate on top of that. We just hung out in the '80s, developing real relationships and friendships. There was no technological filter telling us who to like or what to believe politically or socially. I think that sort of freedom is gone forever.

and that's the only thing unfortunately. It came with 310 HP... My wife's '19 Traverse has that...
Because of the government restrictions, cars looked better than they performed.

That body style of the Firebird is more associated with the 70s than the 80s. Bandit had a ‘77 Firebird. That body style was the second generation of the Firebird and was produced from 1970 to 1981. In 1982 Pontiac introduced the third generation Firebird…
… which was made famous by the 80s TV show Knight Rider.

You wouldn’t have made it. No participation trophies, having to defend yourself in fist fights. You would have gotten many atomic wedgies and not touched a boob until college.

Isn’t this what Ponch drove in CHiPS? Lots of reruns of that in the ‘80s!!!
