Depends on what part of Houston you’re in.

I'll be in North Houston. Like to hunt and fish. I would love to do a Hunting Guide, but most I see from Texas Hunting Forums are 3+hrs from Houston. A lot of nice outdoor ranges, but I'm not carrying my rifles in the car across state borders.
Museum of Natural Science would be fascinating.

Houston blows. Go to San Antonio or Austin.

Lots of great museums, Herman Park if the weather is nice, great restaurants, drive down and tour the NASA center, Top Golf, Rockets games are fun, etc.
Lots of good trails around Memorial Park if you like to run or bike.
I love people that claim Houston sucks but have only lived in Katy, Woodlands, Sugerland, etc.

Get in touch with owlfan, (check about any public men's room for his number), set up to meet him at some bar and tell him to bring some 'friends'.
Don't show up.

If the weather is nice and you guys are close to memorial park then head over there if you want to get outside for a bit. Jogging trail, golf course, driving range, tennis courts, etc... great place to people watch and burn some time. There is some talent jogging and exercising over there.
At the golf course there is a Becks Prime that does a good hamburgers and stuff like that Eat and watch folks tee off and play in.
A few breweries in town that are good. Karbachs is only 8-10 minutes from Memorial Park. If you like to hunt and fish go burn some time at Carters Country on I-10. Once again, 8-10 minutes from Memorial Park. Cut Rate Fishing Tackle is next door and Goode Company BBQ shares parking lot with both of them.
Some daytime, during the week stuff.
