They still have the webcam at the Holiday Inn I think in Panama City Beach?

Spring Break always brought out a classic thread with the link to the webcam at the Holiday Inn. You'd always find some gold in that thread.

That old circular Holiday Inn in Destin has been demolished fyi.
You can google and there's quite a few webcams in the area though.
Yeah I'd think Panama City would be better for spring breakers.

Alcohol is banned on the beach in March in PCB. Apparently attempting to shed the stigma of a spring break party town was more important to local lawmakers than the economy that depended on that reputation. There is some industry across the bridge in Panama City and the surrounding towns, but panama city beach is entirely dependent on tourism.

They'll still get tourists... bunch of broke high schoolers and college kids probably don't do as much for the economy as you think

You may be right now a days, but back in the very early 2000s and before spring break was something like 50% of PCB's income for the year. It was insanely high how much some of the places made about 6 weeks of the year.

I tried to revive that thread 2-3 years ago because it used to be a staple on here. It got downvoted as it quickly faded off the first page. I think the tastes of the O-T have changed with the rise of Instagram accounts that provide better coverage of Sprink Break.

Our little babies are growing up so fast.
Now it's all about the PE exam, the bar exam and post medical school residency around here now. Even the "LSU is screwing with the Greeks" threads get lukewarm action. Spring Break threads are all but ignored.
